Samsung sponsors the The Lunch Club For Good benefiting The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative

"On October 18th, 2017 Samsung 837, an impressive experiential space that supports art, music, and wellness in The Meatpacking District of lower Manhattan, and the Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative worked together on a fabulous, educational daytime fundraiser. The delightful fundraiser was aptly named “The Lunch Club For Good” — an hour-long "lunch and learn" event, with the proceeds going directly to SIGBI. The event, which was heavily promoted to those who work and live in the Meatpacking districts, paid an entry fee of $10 and in turn, received a  fabulous catered lunch and the opportunity to participate in a lively panel discussion about how digital media affects the LGBTQ culture. The panel was moderated by SIGBI board member Zara Barrie, and panelists included noted LGBTQ report Alex Berg, SIGBI founder and Stonewall Inn co-owner Stacy Lentz and Donny Meacham an out radio host for SIRIUS XM Radio. The panel quickly turned into a compelling discussion about online bullying, the importance of LGBTQ visibility online, and the nuanced ways in which the internet can help to lift the queer people who reside in rural communities. The event had an excellent turn-out of engaged New Yorkers from every borough. Big thanks to Samsung for helping to support the increasingly-important mission of SIGBI."
